Community Services Advisory Committee
The Community Services Advisory Committee is established with the purpose of planning a town-wide recreation program.
The committee shall also advise and assist the Recreation Director in creating, implementing and maintaining the program.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Promote, enhance and protect recreational opportunities in Waldoboro in order to maintain and further develop the quality of life.
- Serve as an advisor to the Recreation Director and as a forum for the discussion of new and creative programs including
needs and requirements of present and future activities, programs and projects.
- Soliciting input from the community on the opportunities offered by the Waldoboro Recreation Department.
The Community Services Advisory Committee shall consist of nine members, all residents of the Town of Waldoboro.
The Board of Selectmen shall appoint members for a term of three years beginning July 1st.
In addition to the Recreation Director the Advisory Committee is comprised of the following members:
- Chairman - John Blamey - (term expires 2008)
- Vice Chairman - William Bragg - (term expires 2006)
- Secretary - Deb McClean - (term expires 2008)
- Member - Thomas Jordan - (term expires 2006)
- Member - Jane Lichtman - (term expires 2006)
- Member - Mark Biscoe - (term expires 2007)
- Member - Paul Smeltzer - (term expires 2007)
- Member - Shephard Brown - (term expires 2007)
- Member - Eric Hunt - (term expires 2008)
- Meetings are normally conducted on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm at the Town Office.
- Meetings are open to the public.
- Special meetings may be called by the chair or the Recreation Director, with the approval of the chair.
