Registration for Waldoboro Little League's 2008 Baseball/Softball season has begun! Parents may register players on Wed., Feb 13th from 6-8pm and Sat., Feb 23rd from 8-10am at the VFW Post in Waldoboro and on Thur, Feb. 14th at the Friendship Village School from 6-8pm. Additionally, players may register at the Waldoboro Recreation Department, Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 5:00pm through March 14th. In order to assure proper planning, parents are urged to register as soon as possible.
Divisions of play include: T-Ball (5 & 6 coed), Minor League (Coach & Player Pitch) Softball & Baseball (6-11), Major League Softball & Baseball (9-12). Players must live within the league boundaries of Waldoboro and Friendship and fall between the designated eligibility dates in order to enroll: T-Ball and Baseball - between 5/1/95 & 4/30/03, Softball - between 1/1/95 & 12/31/01. All players league age (5) and (6) must play T-ball. However, players league age (6) who have played one year of T-ball may play in the Minor League.
Registration is required even if the child played previously. At least one parent or legal guardian must present three proofs of residence and an original or state-certified copy of the child’s birth certificate. Documents will be inspected and returned at registration. Registration fee is $25. Additional children receive a $5 discount. Scholarships are available.
