Planning Board - The Planning Board is responsible for reviewing and acting upon Site Plan and Subdivision Applications.

Applications are required for non-residential buildings (new or expansion), changes in use of existing buildings or structures, residential subdivisions, new commercial uses of land, and multi-unit housing (new, expansion of, or conversion to).
The intent of the Site Plan review is to insure that these projects conform to the Land Use Ordinance of the Town of Waldoboro and are designed for safety (including traffic flow and parking), proper environmental stewardship (including storm water runoff, noise, sewage disposal and groundwater quality), and are sensitive to neighbors by reducing the impact on adjacent properties (including the visual environment, lighting and signage).

Communications & Technology Committee - The Waldoboro Communication & Technology Committee provides advice and experience to the Waldoboro Select Board and Waldoboro’s Town Manager concerning new and improving communications and other technologies. The Committee identifies new technologies and makes recommendations for improving existing technologies. It facilitates public discussion about technologies and identifies and helps to address related issues. The committee also follows new technologies or improvements to existing technologies that may benefit the town.

Economic Development Committee - The Economic Development Committee of the Town of Waldoboro is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all of its residents by attracting, expanding, and retaining diverse business and job opportunities, while sustaining and promoting the town’s rural character, its commercial downtown and historic village, and its natural resources.

Board of Appeals - Hears administrative appeals of Code Enforcement Officer and Planning Board decisions. Also, hears variance requests from the Land Use Ordinance.
